Are All Americans Wimps?

The insanity continues. Across the Muslim enslaved world, hoards of angry idiots are being killed or killing because of cartoons. I know that this story is old news, but the part that makes me the angriest is the reaction of our American media and politicians.

We are also slaves of the insanity of Islam because of something that lies beneath the desert in Arabia; Oil. I suppose that this is the reason that no American politician or media personality will stand up, as many in Europe have, to defend the freedom of speech against the tyranny of a fanatical religion. How could anyone in America even find the choice we are confronted with here as a dilemma? The choice is simple: Freedom or slavery. Take your pick.

Trying to pacify a violent backward people who are stuck in the middle ages is a great mistake. I am sorry, but I am inclined to say simply, 'F*** 'em'. F*** Palestine. F*** Iran. F*** any country that doesn't appreciate the basic right of human beings to disagree at the risk of insulting someone else. No one has the right to not be offended in a free world. And I particularly want to give a big 'F*** You' to the wimps of the American media and American politicians. You should all be ashamed.

I have never been more proud to be non-religious - to be an atheist. If ever there was an example of why the outdated stone-age mythology of desert sheep milkers should be discarded, the situation in the Muslim world is it. Perhaps the only good that will come of the current lunacy is that more people will see reason as the future of humanity and not suicidal superstitions and death cults.

The US government is not concerned about spreading democracy out of the goodness of their hearts...there has to be something in it for them..a reason behind it..like OIL as you said. I don't see the concern for the atrocities that have been ongoing in Africa and other places of the world that do not have anything of interest or benefit for our government. The mission of the US government to secure the middle east is for it's own self-interests.

From what I have seen in my lifetime, attempts at bringing peace and democracy to the middle east is futile.

I think that I have to agree. As long as the ownership of the land is based on preposterous religious doctrine, then there will never be peace. I hate to sound defeatist, but I think that the best we could hope to do is limit this type of fundaMental ideology from taking root in the west.

For the life of me, I still cannot fathom what is wrong with these rioting baffoons.

Its only cartoons, for goodness sake! How come no one is complaining about the treatment of iraqi prisoners ?

Because prisoners are meer humans and martyrs for Allah and will go to heaven and get their 72 virgins. AND apparently ALLAH is POWERLESS (as are all gods) since they need meer humans to defend their almighty honor.

It's puzzling to me as to why so many religious people will not in any way question that...why don't their gods ever appear to take care of these "offensive" matters themselves????

I think that our media doesn't make much comment upon religious sympathies being insulted because it would open the door to our own politically entrenched religion being insulted as well.

For some reason there are many people who like to look down on muslims who are insulted when their religion is satirized, whilst probably chucking a hissy fit themselves everytime their own religion is satirized.

Frankly, I don't think that any belief system, religious or political should be excluded from criticism. Now, if I can only convince my own government of that.

Do I have the right to NOT be offended or insulted? I don't think so. But I do have the right to protection under the law if I am threatened by violence because of my religious beliefs or the lack of them.
